I’m Erick Acuña, a Peruvian comedian, writer, and instructor based in Washington, DC. For the past 15 years I’ve performed sold-out shows and international festivals in over 20 cities all around the world. I’ve won four awards at Capital Fringe Festival including ‘Best comedy’, and I was a finalist at the Yes, And… Laughter Lab in partnership with Comedy Central. I’m also a founding writer of The Cherry Swamp, DC’s leading satire platform.

Beyond the stage, I’ve built an audience of over 10 million views across social media, creating viral sketches about culture, identity, and everyday life in DC. I’ve taught improv and sketch comedy at multiple theaters, including Washington Improv Theater, Rails Comedy, DC Improv, and Will Hines’ World’s Greatest Improv School (WGIS).

My work has been featured on Earwolf’s improv4humans with Matt Besser and Improv Nerd with Jimmy Carrane. I’ve performed in festivals across 20+ cities in the U.S., Latin America, and Europe. Whether I’m performing, teaching, or creating online, my goal is the same — to help people connect, take creative risks, and laugh together.
